Frequently asked questions

Everything about PVC windows and thermal panels

What is a thermal-panel (double-glazed) window?

It is a window with hermetic double glazing (IGU): two panes separated by a dry air chamber that insulates against cold and noise. In the Punta Arenas climate, thermal panels dramatically reduce heat loss and condensation on the glass.

Why choose PVC windows in Punta Arenas?

PVC does not rust or warp and needs no maintenance, even with the extreme wind, rain and cold of Magallanes. It also insulates far better than aluminium: less heating, less condensation and more comfort all year round.

Do you sell glass in Punta Arenas?

Yes. We are official distributors of Lirquén glass in the Magallanes Region: single panes, thermal panels (IGUs) and made-to-measure solutions for homes, businesses and construction projects.

Do PVC windows eliminate condensation?

The combination of airtight PVC profiles and thermal panels dramatically reduces condensation, because the inner pane stays close to room temperature. It is one of the main reasons PVC is recommended in southern Chile.
